Los Angeles Construction Accident Attorney Talks Common Site Hazards

According to the most recent statistics from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, more than 4,000 workers were killed while working in a construction site, equivalent to over 85 deaths a week or more than 12 a day. Though the OSHA sees this as an improvement, given that these numbers were the lowest recorded since the fatal injury census was first introduced back in 1992, there are still hazards remaining in construction sites, still causing not only injuries ranging from minor to grave ones, but even deaths. For example, last October, Hugo Hernandez Palomino, 28, was awarded $21.7 million by a Maryland jury after being paralyzed due to a work-related injury he sustained while working at a Pepco site back in 2013.
