"When the actions of another person puts you in harm’s way, a personal injury claim may be filed to compensate for any damage done. Although most incidents only cause minor issues, major vehicular accidents and medical errors have serious consequences, many of which may lead to the victim’s death. Personal injury cases are grounded on the principle that individuals have to be responsible for the safety of one another in the society. Negligence is the common reason for people to breach this duty, but not all of these cases require legal help or proceed to lawsuits. To establish the liability of the offender, it has to be proven that these violations are contributory, if not causal, to the losses and suffering of the victim, such as in the following cases."
