Back in 2010, the Cheesecake Factory (in Phoenix), known for its enticing desserts served in oversized portions, faced a sexual harassment suit filed by six of their staffers. The plaintiffs claimed that they had been subjected to acts like sexual fondling, simulated rape, and even one instance of being dragged into the restaurant’s refrigerator. The Factory denied these allegations, but they ended up settling the dispute by paying $340,000 to the victims. The most surprising thing about the case, however, was that they weren’t filed by women, but by a group of male employees claiming to have been sexually harassed by other men in the workplace.
