California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) started an investigation on the circumstances surrounding the death of Jared Overfield, a 28-year-old construction worker. TheLos Angeles Timesreported that Overfield was crushed last month by an 8000-pound, 40-foot concrete-reinforced steel pipe resulting to his death. The investigation is to determine if there were any OSHA regulations that were violated in the workplace, thereby leading to the accident.
